Services

PLEASE NOTE: Dr. Ikelheimer is not currently accepting new patients. Former patients may continue their treatment by contacting Dr. Dan Severn or by visiting Dr. Severn's Voyager Telepsychiatry Webpage.

Voyager Telepsychiatry is a private telepsychiatry clinic for the treatment of acute and chronic mental illness including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and addiction, with specialization in the treatment of opiate dependence using Suboxone (buprenorphine). Sessions are conducted remotely by Douglas M. Ikelheimer, MD, MA, a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in the pharmacological management of addiction and other acute and chronic psychiatric disorders.

Patients must be residents of the State of Colorado. Under appropriate clinical circumstances a prescription can be called in to your local pharmacy. However, please be advised that VoyagerTelepsychiatry.com is limited to prescribing only DEA Schedule III, Schedule IV, and Schedule V medications. Thus, Voyager Telepsychiatry does NOT prescribe most narcotics and stimulants. Also, please be advised that not all consultations will result in a medication prescription. Regular contact with a family physician or PCP may be required for participation in this specialty clinic.

Rates & Payment

Dr. Ikelheimer requires that all new patients are seen for a one-hour intake appointment at a cost of $200. Following the intake appointment, 15-minute follow-up appointments are scheduled at a rate of $50. Payment is made via PayPal at the time of Online Scheduling (see below) and Voyager Telepsychiatry does not accept payment from third parties.

Scheduling & No-Show Policy

Appointments are scheduled and confirmed online following pre-payment with PayPal by accessing the Online Scheduling Page. Patients are contacted for a telepsychiatry session by Dr. Ikelheimer at their scheduled time. Payments made for appointments are non-refundable. No-Shows not related to video-conference technical problems are non-refundable.
